Need some clarity on FPM programme. What is the difference between a FPM programme and a Ph.D?
I am having a PGDM degree from an AICTE approved college, Am I eligible for a FPM Programme? Can I go for the Academic career after completing my FPM programme without having any Ph.D. Degree? Because my management college is only approved from AICTE not affiliated from AIU.

While IIMS, XLRI, ISB and other stand-alone institutes offer a fellow programme in management FPM universities and the IITs and NITs offer a Ph.D. in management. The difference between a Ph.D. and FPM is similar to the distinction between an MBA and PGDM. This is the eligibility criteria the applicants must have completed master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc. , from UGC -recognised universities/institutions.
