1. Relevance in UPSC Syllabus

NID (Design & Innovation focus):
- Can be linked to Art & Culture (GS I) ? Industrial design, crafts, creative industries.
- GS III (Economy, Science & Tech, MSME, Make in India, Startup India) ? NID contributes to design-led manufacturing, innovation ecosystem.
- Essay Paper ? D

Hi, so basically so there's no such comparison between NIFT and NIFT as in what is better. NIFT and NID both are top design colleges in India, but the courses they offer are not the same. NID courses are focused on particulars but NIFT courses covered broader study of any field. NID courses will lead you to a specific job, but NIFT can help you to choose multiple job options. NIFT is having minimum 30 seats in all of their courses in 15 centers (presently 15). NID avg.
