Hi Pratap, before looking for maximum opportunities and packages you must first be clear with your career path. A stream which may fetch a high salary may not be apt for you and in the long run you may not end up minting a good salary! So, decide if you want to be a zoologist, biological technician,Pharmacologist, research scientist or a teacher. However since you are curious to know the top careers in Biology are found in Biotechnology, Environmental Science and Pharmaceuticals. Best of Luck.

See if you want to go for the Basic Sciences, then I would say just after B.Sc. There are not many job profiles available but if you complete the M.Sc. Course, then you have ample opportunities in both Industry & Academic sectors. IF YOU GO FOR THE PARAMEDICAL COURSES (the jobs are higher here), THEN Some of the subjects you can study in your B.Sc. B.Sc IN OPERATION THEATRE TECHNOLOGY
    BPT (Bachelor OF PHYSIOTHERAPY)
If you want to go for Pure scientific portions of Biology then you need to do an M.Sc. To get good chances. Some of the courses with goo

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.

Countries like Germany and Norway are excellent options. Because public universities there charge little to no tuition fees.  The cost of living and education is significantly lower compared to the USA or UK. You must factor in living expenses and language requirements.
