    The Manipal Institute of Technology offers admission to the B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering course based on the performance in the qualifying exam (Class XII Science) and the availability of vacancies. Students have the option to change their branch in semester III against available vacancies, based on their performance during the first year. The duration of the BTech programme is a minimum of 4 years (8 semesters), during which, students will need to earn 160 credits in order to qualify for the degree.
