The Panjab University offers admission to the M.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology course based on the following criteria:
- Students who have passed the B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology examination from Biotechnology Department, Panjab University are eligible for admission without an entrance test.
- For students who have passed BSc in Biotechnology as elective or vocational course from other institutes, admission is based on the entrance Test (PU-CET-PG) conducted by Panjab University and UG merit.
