The Tezpur University offers admission to the B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering course based on the All India Rank (CRL) of JEE (Main)-2025 conducted by the NTA. Admissions are done through two streams: 60% of the seats are reserved for permanent residents of Northeastern states to be filled up through the counselling conducted by the B.Tech. Screening and Selection Committee (BSSC) of the School of Engineering, Tezpur University, and the remaining 40% seats are open for filling up through the Central Counselling conducted by JoSAA/CSAB.
