Hi,It depends on the course you choose to pursue from LPU which. tends to change instruction through scholastic meticulousness; pragmatic direction and result based education.
For courses like BTech, MSc Agri, PHd etc LPUNest is necessary for eligibility. For other courses LPUNest is for gaining a higher scale of scholarship besides the one for which you are entitled based on either of tyour last two qualifications, category, national awards, sports, covid schemes , etc.
First you can apply for admission and then book your LPUNest; the syllabus and paper pattern is given on the website of LPU. LPUNest is being conducted in an online proc

    Hi,
LPU is strictly abiding the eligibility criteria from last 5-6 years. This year due to COVID-19 pandemic situation across the country LPU has relaxed their prospective students from LPUNEST in many programs. Eligibility criteria for B.Tech program is that candidate must have qualified LPUNEST and must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th class and English must be studied as a subject. However, those who have more than 90% aggregate marks in 12th class are exempted from LPUNEST and are welcome to get direct admission in B.tech. 90 percentile in JEE main will also give access to the direct Admission to the university.

    Hello,
It's good to see your interest for LPU. Your question made me remind my days of admission. For admission in LPU you need your Class 12th scores only and it is mandatory to qualify LPUNEST for engineering. Your Class 10th scores can also help you avail scholarship at LPU.
LPU is offering following scholarships for engineering:
Scholarship on the basis of Percentage in qualifying exam/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification
COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for the Frontline Workforce
Scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST

    Dear Sheshi,
Since CSE is a highly in demand and job oriented program which is rigorous too, the entrance exam is mandatory for the students to check their basic aptitude.
However, If you score above 90% in 12th, you get the admission directly and also stand to get the highest scholarship slab of 40% of program fee applicable for full duration.
In second case, if you have written JEE Mains and scored above 80%ile, then also you will be exempted from appearing in the test.
    Hope this helps

Depending on the program you wish to pursue as a graduate, I would like to provide you with information on entrance exam reassessment. LPUNEST is basically a nationwide entrance exam that can give a student eligibility and a scholarship. Another exam is taken for various programs in engineering, law, agriculture, design and hotel management, with LPUNEST being a mandatory exam for admission to these programs e.g. B.tech, MBA, B.PHARMA, BPT, Bsc with honors in Agriculture and etc. On the other hand, LPU offers various courses that do not require you to qualify for the LPUNEST exam. Some courses are BBA, BCA, BA, MA, BFA and many more.
  • Hi
As per the eligibility criteria for different courses the marks required in boards (qualifying exam) varies from 50% to 60% depending on the course. To take admission to certain courses at LPU you need to appear for LPUNEST, for others you may get direct admission provided you fulfil the eligibility criteria.
LPU offers more than 150 courses, and there are certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. The candidate needs to qualify LPUNEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech., MBA, Hons, B.Pharm, MLT etc. For some courses like BA, B.Comm, BBA etc LPUNEST is not mandatory.

    Dear student,
For undergraduate programs, the marksheet of class 12 is required. However, there are certain programs such as B Tech and Hons programs in which you can get admission only if you qualify the entrance exam. Apart from that the programs such as BBA, BCOMM, and BA programs do not have mandatory entrance tests as an eligibility, you can seek admission in these programs. However, you need to fulfil other eligibility conditions such as minimum qualification as well.

Hi...

I need to clarify first: are you asking about admission to Chandigarh University for B.Tech/B.E, or admission to a medical/paramedical course (like B.Sc Nursing, MBBS, BPT, etc.)

The marks required and exam rules differ a lot depending on the stream.

Chandigarh University follows a holistic admission approach, giving importance to both Class 12 performance and JEE Main scores, depending on the route chosen. For JEE-qualified students, the JEE score primarily determines merit-based scholarships and priority counseling, while Class 12 marks ensure eligibility verification. For students not appearing in JEE, Class 12 performance, particularly in PCM subjects, becomes the primary eligibility criterion, alongside CUCET scores for CSE programs. This dual-focus system allows students with strong 12th marks but no JEE score to secure admission, while rewarding JEE participants with merit a

Yes, for B.E. admission at Chandigarh University, students must meet the basic eligibility criteria of Class 12, irrespective of their JEE score. Generally, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one additional relevant subject. The minimum percentage requirement is as per regulatory norms and may vary slightly by program, but JEE scores alone do not override academic eligibility. Even for students applying with JEE Main 2026 ranks for scholarship consideration, meeting the 12th standard eligibility is mandatory. Hi.

If your 12th result has not been announced yet then

Upload expected / provisional marks for now.

Final admission depends on the official 12th mark sheet after results are announced.

Colleges are used to this situation, especially for students applying in early cycles.
