Options for continuing regular study after 3 years break post 10th Board exam?

I have a relative who could not continue study after 10th Board exam. He wants to continue his study now after 3 years break. What are the option for him to continue study again? He can opt for regular classes and college exams. Any direction will be helpful. Thanks.
