Check out the points below regarding affiliation : 1) That the degree is not approved by UGC: True, but that does not make the college fake or illegal. UGC has a list of fake colleges on its site here, you can have a look. The college states it categorically that it is not approved by UGC, and gives out degree from foriegn University. 2) That the degree is not recognised by the Indian government: True. That said, Pearl Academy has students and alumni working on various government projects as consultants etc. Also, the nature of the industry is such that not many opportunities lie within the arena of government purview. 3) That those who do not make it to NIFT, go to Pearl: Not true. I qualified for both. Was getting NIFT Gandhinagar. Instead, chose Pearl Academy, Delhi. Many of my batchmates were people who had dropped NIFT for PA. 4) That placement might be a problem: Never. My seniors and batchmates are heading Satya Paul, H&M India, Benetton India, Vero Moda, etc. I was placed WAY before my degree was handed out to me.
