    MBA and PGDM are both business orientated courses. The main aim of the courses is to equip a person who wants to move up in the hierarchy and enter in to the management field.
    The main difference between PGDM and MBA is that PGDM is a postgraduate diploma which is given by stand alone / Autonomous Institutes which come under the jurisdiction of AICTE like IIMs, XLRI, SP Jain etc. And MBA is a degree program provided only by Unversities and come under the jurisdiction of UGC like JBIMS and FMS, PUMBA, these B-schools are university depts. of their respective university.

    Dear manish,
    The are different perceptions in MBA and PGDM,
    In my personal view, MBA is better since its a post graduate degree and market demand for MBA is bit more. further improvement like Phd, ETC are possible with MBA
