phd in electronics

i have completed my m.tech in electronics and communication. i want to apply for phd in same field. please guide me. do i need to prepare for gre/toefl/ielts. is gate exam an option for studying abroad. please suggest me a safe country

    Hi,
    In order to pursue Phd, from universities abroad, you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.
    It may take three to six years to complete your PHD, depending on the field you select and your mentor.
    The general eligibility criteria for PHD students are as follows:
