1. Traditionally, the most preferred jobs for Ph.Ds have been industrial R&D Labs, university positions, and start-ups.
2. The salaries may vary to some extent depending on your work experience, your original graduation and the managerial level that you hold.

it all depends upon your prior experience and topic / specialization of PHD, in teaching you can become Associate Professor or if you have more experience as per UGC/AICTE then you are eligible to become Professor
