    As correctly said by Priya ji, Its on persons interest.
    Basic eligibility for Phd from a reputed university is 55% in Post-graduation and she has to clear a PET (Phd Entrance Test) conducted by university followed by submission of synopsis and if synopsis is approved by the university sister can further step towards research and on successful completion she will be awarded with Doctorate .
    There are some other doctoral level degrees such as DBA ( Doctorate of Business Administration), DMS (Doctorate in management studies) which is equivalent to Phd and your sister is very much eligible for the same.
