Being an alumni of Lovely Professional University, I would say, The University has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of students. Around 550+ companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. LPU becomes the favourite landing place for bulk recruiters like Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, Bosch Engineering, Meditab and many more
As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Actually Salary package depends on factors like specialisation, Institute, Company offering job, students academic performance, work experience etc.

Being alumni of LPU, I am proud that I have completed my higher degree from LPU and got placed during my study in a reputed company, and The best thing I like about LPU about placement is, they provide placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visit for the recruitment of students since a pre-final year. Being an educational consultant, I have checked placements of both CU and LPU. After discussion with alumni of both the universities, I concluded that LPU has good placements. Along with the quality of education, LPU provides better placements as well to its students. Let me highlight the placements at LPU. LPU created a new record in the whole of North India by placing its student Tanya Arora with Microsoft, who bagged a package of 42 LPA. Besides, other record-breaking placements for LPU includes:
the highest Placement (Engineering) Rs. 42 Lacs per annum (Microsoft)
the highest Placement (Management) Rs. 19.75 Lacs per annum (SOBHA Developers)
the highest Placement (Design) Rs. 15 Lacs per annum (Trident Group)
Amazon recruited LPU students on a package of 28 LPA
The highest internship stipend is up to 80k per month. (which is really hard to get in other universities)
The reason why LPU has better placement records than other universities is because of its unique career cell.
