Please give the details regarding work experience (duration and type) that will be considered for admission process.

I am preparing for the upcoming XAT and at present I am working as a supervisor in MRF. I want to know the duration of work experience preferred for business management/ global business management in XLRI.

There is no ideal work experience duration. Every company has their own preferences. Some companies want freshers while some might want a person with 3-4 years work experience. So, it should not be a big worry for you.

Work experience is not a mandatory requirement for admission. However, you may get extra marks if you have work experience. There is no particular duration and type as such. There are students who have work experience from one year to 5 years.

The type of work experience is immaterial to the admission process. Only the duration of work experience is taken into account.
