B.Sc. Forensic Science is a 3-year graduate course that involves the application of scientific knowledge for crime investigation. B.Sc. Forensic Science mainly focuses on crime-laboratory based professions. The basic eligibility for the admission in B.Sc. Forensic Science is 10+2 with adequate marks from a recognised board. The fee of this course varies from college to college. The average course fee is between INR 30,000 - 2,50,000. B.Sc. Forensic Science has Pathology, Psychiatry, Forensic Medicine, Odontology etc. In its syllabus. This course has both merit based and entrance based admission. Some of the entrance exams for this course are DUET KIITEE SAAT KSET etc. After completing B.Sc. In this specialisation students can apply for higher education and research. Almost in every metropolitan city in India there are some popular colleges which offer B.Sc. In Forensic Science. Merit Based Admission Some colleges like - Swami Vivekananda University, IGNOU etc. Offer merit based admission. The candidates have to submit their required documents for evidence and pay the application fee to the institutes office. Then the college will release a merit list of shortlisted candidates and send them offer letters. Entrance Based Admission Some colleges like - Amity University, University of Delhi, Karnataka University offer entrance based admission through state level or national level entrance exam. B.Sc. Forensic Science Entrance Exams DUET It is an entrance exam offered by Delhi University. The exam is conducted by NTA. It is a two hours CBT exam with a total of 100 marks. It is held throughout the 12 cities of India. KIITEE It is a CBT exam offered by Kalinga University. The exam is conducted in three phases. The dates of upcoming phase2 and 3 are 17,18,19 June 2021 and 17, 18 July respectively. SAAT It is a national entrance test conducted by Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University. It is basically a multiple choice exam offered in CBT mode. The upcoming dates of this exam's two different phases are 7June, July 2021 respectively. KCET It is conducted by Karnataka examination authority. It is a state level CBT exam. The upcoming dates of this exam are - 28 and 29 August, 2021. It is only for Karnataka state students.
