    Both the disciplines are complimentary to each other. Production Engg is slightly specialized as it stresses more on workshop technology, manufacturing, work study and industrial management apart from mech engineering in general.

    Both are Complimentary to each other . Production engg. is relted to production using latest technology. It includes Manufacturing, Industrial material etc.

    It would be better if u go through syllabus of both branches.This would give u complete idea regarding both branches.After going through syllabus see where ur interest flow.Best of Luck.
