Pls tell me if i opt history for prelims exam in civil services, then can i opt history in mains also or i have to go for another subject

totally dependes on you......if u want u can go ahead with the same subject or you can opt for a different subject...

Yes, you can opt history in both, there is no restriction for choosing a subject in both or not.
