plz tell me hows the collg for b.tech CS in comparison to ther colleges?

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies has a wide structure of numerous sub-branches of CS. This gives you an even opportunity to select your area of interest and study it with the specialization at the graduation level.

Obviously we can't compare UPES with IITs. But still UPES has a good reputation in India. Companies visiting here are also very reputed companies like Microsoft, dell, LNT, IBM and VMware. So there are many chances to get good placements. Academic style is also different from other colleges and very good faculty as well.

UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) is a college of engineering, management studies, and of law also. Well, this college is more famous for B.Tech engineering where you have to clear an entrance exam and then you will get the admission in engineering college. On the basis of your rank as well as on your PCM percentage, you will get the branch of your choice. Here I will mainly focus on B.Tech Engineering and hence I will put the review in front of you. There are many streams or university courses available which can be opted by qualifying the entrance exam. If we talk about infrastructure, it is really awesome and the location is also the best. There are different buildings for different work and hence, there is a proper system which makes the environment good. There is perfect strictness in this university as you should be in proper uniform, otherwise you are not allowed to enter the main gate. The best thing is that there is exactly no ragging and there is a DSA committee for student's welfare which is responsible for maintaining the perfect environment. Studies are also good as there are highly qualified professors who are always ready to help you out regarding your problems. Many professors are friendly but some are not, which is a common exception in all the universities. Now the most important thing comes, which is placement- The university's record is increasing day by day in terms of placement. The weak students were placed in Flipkart at 12 lac/annum. Students from mechatronics were offered a package of 19.5 lac per annum, and petroleum upstream students are always placed at nice packages. On average, students are being placed at 3-4 lac package. If you are being placed in a good company on low packages, then there is a high probability of getting frequent promotions on the basis of your talent. It is obvious that if you are getting admission in a better university, then no doubt you should choose that university. But petroleum universities are unique on its own. Among top 60 companies on earning revenue, 20+ companies are from petroleum, oil and gas sector only. So overall, this university should always be there in your consideration.
