20. The equilibrium constant for a reaction is 10. What will be the value of ΔG°?
R = 8.314 JK–1 mol–1, T = 300 K.
20. The equilibrium constant for a reaction is 10. What will be the value of ΔG°?
R = 8.314 JK–1 mol–1, T = 300 K.
20. ΔG° = -RT ln K = - 2.303 RT log K
Putting the values of
R = 8.314 J K-1 mol-1,
T = 300 K and
K =10; we get
ΔG° = - 2.303 x 8.314 J K-1 mol-1 x 300 K and K x log 10
= - 5527 J mol-1
= -5.527 kJ mol-1
