In Fe0.93O

Let us suppose that fraction of Fe2+ is x and fraction of Fe3+ is (1 – x)

x * ( + 2 ) + ( 1 ? x ) * ( + 3 ) = O.S. of Fe atom

o r ? ? 2 x + 3 ? 3 x = + 2 0 0 9 3

? % ? ? o f ? ? F e 2 + = 8 5 % ? ? a n d ? ? % ? ? o f ? ? F e 3 + = 1 5 %
