A company has seven tasks to complete. They are:

T1 – Buy raw material

T2 – Take orders

T3 – Process raw material

T4 – Deliver finish product

T5 – Hire new recruits

T6 – Pay the bills

T7 – Pay salary

And to do these tasks it has only two days, Monday and Tuesday. Certain conditions should be followed:

The Company must do at least two tasks each day.

The company cannot start its task on Monday with T4 (deliver finish product)

Task T1 should be done either in the beginning or at the end of any of the two days. Task T3 and task T7 should be done on the same day with no task done in between them. Task T4 and task T6 cannot be done on same day.

At least one task should be done in between the task T2 and task T7.

If the tasks done on Monday by the company are task T1, T4 and T5 and task T3 is the first task to be done on Tuesday then which of the following statement must be true

Option 1 -
T6 is the second task on Tuesday

Option 2 -
T2 is the third task on Tuesday

Option 3 -
T7 is the third task on Tuesday

Option 4 -
T2 is the last task on Tuesday

Correct Option - 4
Detailed Solution:

Since Task T1, T4 and T5 has to be done on Monday. Therefore Task T2, T3, T6, T7 are to be done on Tuesday. Task T3 will be the first Task.

Task T7 must be the second Task according to the condition.

Task T6 must be the third Task and Task T2 will be the last Task according to the condition.

From the 1st statement: B2 is now as old as B3 was in the past. Hence B2 is younger to B3 or B2 < B3. Also sometime in the past B1 was twice as old as B4. So B1 is elder to B4 or B1 > B4. B3 will be as old as B5 in future, hence B3 < B5. The second statement suggests: B1 > B6. B1 was as old as B7 in the past. Hence B1 > B7. B4 will be as old as B6 in future. Hence B6 > B4. B6 will be as old as B7 now in future. Hence B7 > B6
