Are determiners part of the eight parts of speech?

<p>Determiners were included under adjectives in traditional grammar, however, in modern grammar, determiners are a separate word class, not part of the classic eight parts of speech, but equally important. There are seven types of determiners in the English Language. In older or school-level grammar, determiners (like <em data-start="272" data-end="299">the, a, this, some, every</em>) were grouped under adjectives because they come before nouns and modify them.&nbsp;</p>
