The table has 12 chairs numbered from 1 to 12. 6 seats on one side of the table and 6 on the opposite side. The chairs are arranged in such a way that chair number 1 is just opposite to 12, 6 is opposite to 7 and so on.

P1 is sitting opposite to P11 who is the only person sitting between P3 and P10. P5 is sitting opposite to P9 who is the only person sitting between P2 and P12. P6, sitting at chair number 1is diagonally opposite to P3 who is sitting opposite to P4

If P12 is sitting opposite to P8, then who is sitting opposite to P7?

    Detailed Solution:

    From the above 2 cases.

    In case (I) if P12 is sitting opposite to P8 then P6 is sitting opposite to P7. In case (II) if P12 is sitting opposite to P8 then P10 is sitting opposite to P7.
