    Detailed Solution:

    The work done by 12 boys in 20 days = 4 7

    So, remaining work need to be done in 6 days = 3 7

    M 1 * D 1 W 1 = M 2 * D 2 W 2

    1 2 * 2 0 4 7 = M 2 * 6 3 7

    We get, M2 = 30. Hence, 18 extra boys are required.
