f (x) = x2 – 2x2 + y = 0
– x2 + y =0
y = x2 ………. (1)
f (y) = y2 – 2xy + y = 0
y2 – 2xy + x2 = 0
(y – x)2 = 0
y – x = 0
y = x
Put value of y in equation 1
We get
x = y = 1
So, f (4) = 42 – 2 (4*1) + 1
= 16 – 8 +1
= 9
