Detailed Solution:(c):Let A be the combined age of husband and wife n be the number of children and x is the average age of one child. Then
A = 6nx…. (1)
A – 4 = 10 (n (x – 2)] …. (2)
A + 12 = 3 [n (x + 6)] …. (3)
On solving the above equation, we get n = 3
