What kind of triangle is formed by points (4,3), (6,-2) and (-11, -3)?
Let A (4, 3), B (6, −2), C (−11, −3) be the vertices of triangle ABC.
AB2 = (6 – 4)2 + (−2 −3)2 = 29
BC2 = (−11 −6)2 + [−3 – (−2)]2 = 290
AC2 = (−11 −4)2 + [ (−3 −3)]2 = 261
As AB2+ AC2= BC2
ABC is a right-angled triangle.
