Conductors refer to materials that throughout their structure, allow the free movement of electric charges normally electrons. It happens because of the free electrons present in their outer shells. The examples of conductors include silver, aluminum and copper. On the other hand, there is no free flow of electric charges in the insulators because the electrons are tightly bound to atoms. Examples of the insulators are wood, rubber, and plastic.
