It depends from college to college. But the cutoff for B.A. Economics goes about 98 to 99 % every year. Besides there may be entrance exams for which eligibility criteria can be only 45 to 55%.

There are no minimum marks to qualify JEE Main paper 2. The cut-off is based on the number of aspirants as well as their performance. Only the rank of JEE Main paper 2 is required. According to past year patterns, if you get 70% and above in JEE Mains paper 2 you may get a seat in any NIT.

No, you cannot do M.Tech in food tech as the requirements are completely different. There is no Masters+PhD (food proc) programme in any college as Ph.D requires clearing UGC NET exam. You should pursue M.Tech CS which will give you better packages.
