The major IT for Finance is aimed at training financial engineers who are able to model real systems mathematically, carry out the technological implementation of these models and to make use of the models' results in a manner that both improves them and deepens the financial engineers' understanding of the modeled systems. Financial engineers seek to understand how the markets work in an attempt to develop successful investment strategies.
