While the majority of admissions to B.Tech programs are made through entrance exams (such as JEE Main, JEE UG, and JEECUP), there may be an alternative option known as management quota seats. Management quota seats are usually reserved for certain B.Tech programs and are not available for all. The eligibility criteria for management quota seats may differ from the regular admission based on entrance exams. PSIT may have specific criteria, such as a minimum percentage of 10+2 or an equivalent examination. The selection process for managing quota seats may include submission of an application, appearing in an interview, or payment of a higher fee.

PSIT doesn’t have a single B.Tech course that’s extremely well-known, but it does have a good reputation for B.Tech courses. In order to be eligible for the B.Tech program, the student must have passed a 10+2 from a recognised board. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics needed to be the mandatory subjects for admission. The minimum percentage of candidates who can pass the examination depends on the category, for the general category minimum of 50% is needed. B.Tech candidates are admitted to the PSIT based on the rank they achieved in one of these entrance exams: JEE Main, CUET, and UPTAC.

After appearing for the entrance examination, the students must apply for counseling through the UPTAC website. During counseling, the students will be allocated a seat in their preferred programme at the PSIT based on their rank in the previous entrance exam, category, and seat availability.

PSIT’s placement record can be considered good, but it’s important to control your expectations and look at the data with a critical lens.  More than 60% of the students are placed through campus placements. PSIT also mentions some companies that come to their campus for placement, with packages reported to be between 6-7 LPA. However, the overall package can vary from program to program. It’s important to look at the placement record of the programme you’re interested in. You should also consider the difficulty of the program, whether you have interest in the program or not, whether the program has a demand in the industry and so on.

The institute has well trained faculty members who help students to learn practically by conducting lots of events, workshops, and hackathons throughout the curriculum. The college curriculum might be challenging if you do not utilize your learning properly because there might be several exams conducted throughout the year.
