Cutoffs ride on MHT CET percentiles and, for some seats, JEE Main. CSE and IT close earlier, often needing MHT CET percentiles in the mid to high seventies or better for open category, while ENTC and Mechanical are comparatively accessible. Category seats relax significantly. As CAP rounds progress, cutoffs slide, but popular branches rarely open dramatically. Always study the previous two years' CAP closing ranks published by CET Cell Maharashtra to anchor expectations, and keep CSAB or institute level vacancy rounds as backups if you narrowly miss your target branch.
