With a category rank of 181,000 in JEE Mains, it might be challenging to secure admission to an NIT for B.Tech. Generally, candidates with higher ranks have a better chance of getting into NITs.

However, the cutoff ranks for NITs can vary for different branches and categories. Some branches may have lower cutoff ranks compared to others. It is recommended to check the official websites of the NITs you are interested in to get a better understanding of the previous year's cutoff ranks for different branches.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College does not provide a mess facility but instead has a canteen. However, the food quality in the canteen is average, and the facilities and amenities are acceptable. The mess food falls below the expected standards, occasionally lacking in quality. Moreover, there are limitations on food delivery from outside after 10 p.m., and the restrictions imposed on the girls' hostel are more stringent compared to those on the boys' hostel.

Some tips that I would like to give to a first-year student studying in my college are as follows:-

Don't depend on the professors or the teachers for the study material. Try to make your own notes.

If you think that the whole syllabus will be taught in the class then you are wrong. You have to put in some extra effort yourself to do it.

Many curricular activities take place round the year. So, you may participate in the activities that you like.

Lastly, I will say that the university provides good education and curriculum so yo
