Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC), Mumbai provides PG Diploma admissions to candidates who qualify as per the eligibility and selection norms laid down by the institute. Because of your rank, there are some other paths you can access:

Consider Alternative NITs or IIITs: Less competitive ME programs at some other NITs or IIITs could end up with higher closed ranks. You can learn something by checking the cutoff scores from last year.

Many Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering branches tend to belong to students with higher closing ranks. Checking out these possibilities could higher your chances of getting accepted.

Are involved in the CSAB Special Rounds after the JoSAA rounds: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) hosts these special rounds to fill leftover seats. Sometimes seats in the branches people want appear during these rounds.

There may be Mechanical Engineering schools at the state level that rank better when it comes to successful employability. Look into how the state offers counseling and what criteria it uses to make decisions.

Private Mechanical Engineering programs are offered at many well-known private engineering colleges.

DTU and NSUT are well known and highly respected public engineering colleges in Delhi and their admission requirements for Computer Science are especially demanding.

It is very competitive to study CSE, CS and AI in SC too.

SC Category Cutoffs (from Previous Year):
DTU and NSUT have roughly these CS/CS/AI rankings based on their recent JAC Delhi counselling performance:

DTU CS (AI/ML) falls in the range of 3,500 – 5,000 .

Your SC Rank: 40,551 is much greater than the minimum needed for admission at DTU or NSUT. Past history indicates that you cannot get into CSE, CS or CS-AI at DTU or NSUT if your SC rank is 40,551.

Try to find other government colleges in Delhi or beyond that take part in CSAB or State Counselling, as the cutoffs for SC students are more generous there. You could focus on branches like BioTech, Environmental or Production Engineering at DTU/NSUT, but chances are still slim with this ranking.

JEE-accepting private colleges might still have open spaces and relaxed marks for admission.

Keep in mind universities and GFTIs that are government-funded and grant reservation advantages.
