The basic eligibility for admissions to B.Tech in Civil Engineering for lateral entry course offered by Himalayan University is as follows:

• Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institute.
• Minimum Age: The candidate must have completed 18 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
• Maximum Age: The candidate's maximum age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
• CGPA: The candidate must have secured a minimum of 6.0 CGPA in Diploma in Civil Engineering.

In addition to the above, the candidate must also appear for and qualify the Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE) conducted by Himalayan University. The LEEE is a 2-hour, 100-question objective-type examination that tests the candidate's knowledge of basic engineering concepts.
