When pursuing an MBA, I believe that one should focus on the four main disciplines. These are Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations. These are the most in demand and also the most frequently recruited for. Having said that, you can pursue an MBA in IT, and your college will not prevent you from doing so. However, you will face the following issues both during and after your MBA programme. You will have no foundation to build on. Database, programming, and project ideas are foreign to you. You'd have to build your foundation alongside the building. You will have to compete with IT and CS degree engineers who understand the fundamentals of IT. You'd have to work twice as hard to be as excellent as they are. You will need to persuade the recruiters that you are a suitable fit for them. Their clients will not consider your CV. They will have difficulty selling your Candidature to their clients, so they will be hesitant to hire you.
