No, Applicants are not allowed to get direct admission to the MSc course. IHM Chandigarh is a government institution that follows the rules and regulations set by the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Moreover, to get admissions into MSc courses, applicants must complete their BSc degree or Diploma in a relevant field and must appear in the NCHMCT MSc JEE scores.

IHM Chennai and IHM Chandigarh both accept the scores of NCHMT MSc JEE for admissions to MSc courses. Hence, the admission process is almost similar for both institutions, as the first requirement is that candidates must complete their graduation with an aggregate of 55%; then they must appear for the NCHMT MSc JEE, followed by counselling. Therefore, it is hard to determine which institute is easier to get admission into MSc courses. 

However, applicants can compare the two institutes by their cutoffs from here: IHM Chandigarh cutoff and IHM Chennai cutoff.
