No, I don't think that coaching is must to crack the exam.
You can follow the below mentioned steps:
1. You just need to use best study material.
2. Solve previous year question papers as many as you can.
3. Stay updated with all the latest news, changes in the pattern and syllabus.
4. Give at least 6 - 8 hours to studies.
5. Take proper sleep of 6 - 8 hours.
