Yes, a BBA student can choose oil & gas as an elective in 2nd year. A student at SPM is exposed to oil and gas sector from the first year itself, irrespective of his/her UG background. So if anyone who wishes to take E&I as majors or minors in the second year can make a conscious decision. The current system for a student to opt for E&I is to undertake Term 2 and Term 3 projects and SIP in E&I sector, then only he/she is eligible for taking E&I as majors in 2nd year. But in any case, there is a change, you will be notified well in time before your selection of electives. All of this would be made clear to you in your Student's Handbook.

Any Life Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) can designate himself as a Chartered Engineer (C Eng).
A special certificate specifying as Chartered Engineer ( C Eng ) can be obtained on payment of Rs. 5000/- only (for applicants from India / Nepal) and US$ 500 only (for applicants from other countries). This is applicable only to the Members who have paid Composite Subscriptions / Life Compounding fees in full.
However, Corporate members already in possession of Chartered Engineer Certificate applying for the same after up-gradation / transfer of membership or more than once for any other reason, the fee will be Rs. 2,000.00 (for applicants from India /Nepal) and US $ 200 (for applicants from other countries). Such Corporate Members should apply with a copy of existing Chartered Engineer Certificate.
Difference Between Normal Engineer and Chartered Engineer:-
-A Normal engineer is one who recently graduated with little or no experience.
-A chartered engineer is an experienced engineer who has pursued a career in engineering and has been recognized for his/her contribution to the field.

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. This is considered to be one of the oldest branches of engineering disciplines.
Civil Engineering is now being studied under several sub-disciplines like environmental engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, urban planning and many more.
Civil Engineering Eligibility Criteria:-
An educational career in civil engineering can be started after class 10th. Here the individual is only eligible to pursue Diploma program in civil engineering. After successful completion of the course, he/she can join as a junior engineer in various public and private sector jobs.
The minimum eligibility for doing undergraduate program i.e. BE/BTech in Civil Engineering is + 2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The selection is generally made on the basis of entrance tests (e.g. IITJEE, AIEEE, BITSAT etc.) conducted at both national and state level.
One can also continue his/her study further by joining ME/MTech programs offered by various engineering colleges/universities including the IITs and NITs. A GATE qualification can further make one's admission process easier.
AMIE Associate Memberships of the Institution of Engineers also offers courses in civil engineering which is equivalent to BE/BTech provided by other institutes/universities.
