Hi Astha, if you want to study Photography (or Mass Communication) after class 12th. You can take up any subject you like. Be it Arts, Commerce or Science. During the time of college admissions, for mass communication most of the college look for the percentage in English. Or, you need to give an entrance exam. Anything will work.

Do a detailed analysis of where your interest and potential lies, what long-term opportunities seek and course you can do like engineering, medicine, CA, journalism, languages, and business. Based on that, take the right base stream such as Arts, Commerce or Science. Once 2 years of pre-university is completed, graduation can be taken up. If you are aiming at a particular college for engineering or medical, etc., it makes sense to join a coaching institute for entrance exams too during the pre-university period itself. Notably, engineering and IT, management, accounting and financial sectors are good.

Hello Manmeet Kaur,
You can plan the journey to the destination well if you know the starting point. You need to understand your strengths and weaknesses for any test preparation like you can be strong in mathematics, average in physics and totally clueless in chemistry. This is important because then you will create your plan to turn your weaknesses into strengths and improve your strengths even further. Hope this helps! All the best!
