Tourism has excellent scope. Anything can stop by the time of machine but not tourism. In India, it is the only booming sector that is going to be huge. IITTM has its own brand name outside when you go out of the college. Placements are pretty good enough. More than 90% students are placed every year. If you really interested in the field of civil engineering then go for polytechnic because, if you go 11th and 12th further you need to learn each and everything (I guess you are able to understand what I mean). If you do your Diploma, you will be thorough with your basics of civil engineering, which will be very much useful for your further studies in the field of civil engineering or you can even apply for a better job after your course (Its better if you go for your further studies). If not interested BCA is also a good option.
