Anna University admission criteria varies depending on the programme and the academic year. However, typically, a minimum aggregate score of at least 50% in 12th standard is required for admission to undergraduate programs offered by the university. So, based on a score of 555, it might be difficult to get admission in Anna University, but it would be best to check with the specific department or college of your choice to get a more accurate answer. Keep in mind that some programs might have higher cut-off marks, and admission may also depend on other factors such as availability of seats, entrance exam scores, and so on.

Hello Senthikumar, private engineering colleges do offer scholarship to students. But perhaps it's part of their efforts to look good in the eyes of people. They do have a screening process and if it's different for different colleges. There is no uniformity. On the hand, scholarships offered by government are applicable to all government colleges and their screening process is uniform. However you will need to find this out from the brochure of your intended college. Best wishes to you.
