Hello there Abhishek,
I don't think anyone can tell you with 100% surety which university will give you the admission. This depends on the university, your marks are alright except class 12 and the universities you applied are also good ones basis your profile. It also depends on your personal statement, what you wrote, how you wrote your SOP, how good the letters of recommendations were and your overall application package. You can just hope that atleast one of them gives you a call.

Fees in engineering colleges vary from 60k per year to about INR 3.5 Lacs per year in Government College, IITs and NITs. Fee is less as compare to premium private engineering college, if you are staying in college than hostel +messing fees are also included. So, all in all in most colleges, it cost near about INR 2 LPA, but it can vary as it is not an exact constant figure college raise. Their fees each year by about 5%. Hope this help. For accurate fees of particular college, see their admission brochure.

No need to have good marks. Placements only depend on your skills and knowledge like you are a good programmer then only you will get hired. Suppose, you don't like programming, but you are perfect in networking or designing field, you will get a job easily. In earlier days, the network engineering had a good demand in the market so take your choice and go ahead.

Of course, you can switch your branch. But, think twice before switching, because you will be a complete fresh person while entering Engineering with no knowledge of mechanical, while you will be having plus point, if you continue with your same branch.
