The Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology is a private Catholic engineering and technology school situated in Chennai, India. It operates under the administration of the Society of Jesus. 1. B.E. / B.Tech (5 Courses):

   - Eligibility: Applicants must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. The college accepts GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and CEETA (Common Entrance Examination for Admission to PG Courses in Engineering) as the qualifying exams.

There is only one M.Tech course, that is, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. 

The college provides 100% placement. Companies like Infosys, Emphasis, guardian, Wipro, and Alstom come for placements. They give a salary package from 3.25 LPA to 18 LPA.

The college has a well-maintained infrastructure with properly equipped labs and reliable Wi-Fi facilities. Adequate apparatus for projects is readily provided by the college. The classrooms and library are well-organized and conducive to learning. The canteen serves good food, although there is room for improvement in the canteen's infrastructure.

The minimum qualification for eligibility is to pass in Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognised Council/Board in a regular class mode. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, as well as a 50% aggregate in Class 12th (37% marks for ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates). Additionally, passing English with at least 30% marks is also necessary for eligibility.

RTU (Rajasthan Technical University) is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE.

On the other hand, AICTE is focused on accrediting colleges offering technical education like engineering and management. While AICTE approval is beneficial for quantifying the quality of technical education provided by such colleges, it is not mandatory for all institutions.

Colleges with UGC approval are generally considered more competent, and they tend to have better infrastructure facilities, structured academic processes, and a better faculty-student ratio. However, AICTE approval is specifically relevant for institutions offering technical courses to ensure the quality of education in those fields.

Before CUET was introduced, taking economics after PCM was allowed and you would have had to face a 2.5 reduction in your percentage. The only requirement was that you had mathematics in class 11 and 12. However, now, there is a new criteria for BA Economics Honours. You need to appear for both Economics and Maths in CUET to get economics honours. Since students are not allowed to appear for subjects that they haven't appeared for in their board exams, you won't be able to give economics exam. 

    But, you don't need to lose hope, you can still do BA Program with a  combination of economics and any other subject of your liking and take economics as your major and the other subject as your minor. Under the New Education Policy, this will help you get Economics Honours certificate after 4 years. If you wish to complete your graduation after 3 years, you will get economics major certificate. The syllabus for BA Program economics and BA Hons Economics is almost the same so there won't be a large difference. 

B.Tech lateral entry is a 3 years programme for Diploma holders students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree after their diploma. Students taking B.Tech lateral entry can get direct admission in engineering second year after completing their diploma. Direct Admission in B.Tech lateral entry allows students to take admission via management quota seats.

In most colleges, the tuition fees for Second Year Direct Admission are generally lower, ranging from 30 thousand to 60 thousand INR per annum, for both Government and Private Colleges participating in counseling. However, top Deemed private Universities may charge higher tuition fees for B.Tech lateral entry admission due to limited seats. Typically, the total package, including tuition fees and miscellaneous charges, is around 2 to 3 Lacs INR.

Apart from the college fee, students opting for hostel accommodation would need to pay an additional fee, which varies from 50 thousand to 1 Lacs INR, depending on the college.

Vignan Vishakhapatnam is better than Anits Vishakhapatnam in case of placements for CSE. Vignan's placement percentage of 2022 was 100%. Anits has seen a sharp decline in the number of placements, median package as well as the highest package in the last few years. Vignan on the other hand has been doing way better at placements. The exact statistics for CSE students is not available but overall, the median salary for 2022 was 5 LPA. Many students from ANITS are disappointed with the placements because there have been very few companies visiting the college for placements. 

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission declared the written exam result online only at its official website - tnpsc.gov.in. The candidates are required to check their results online only. Based on the marks obtained in the written exam, candidates are called for certificate verification. Selected candidates are required to upload the required certificates.

The candidates are suggested to upload all their personal and academic credentials for the Counselling purpose. After verification, the eligible candidates are called for counselling for departmental unit allotment in the order of rank and category to which they are eligible as per the vacancy position.

Hi Jitendra, your college depends on the course that you are opting for. It also depends on the subjects that you have appeared for in CUET. In CUET, rank and percentile matters more than marks. If your percentile is above 90, then you are good to go for most colleges. For courses like BA Hons, B.Com Hons, you have to score higher marks. For BA Program, B.Com Program, you can get admission with lower marks and BSc requires some of the lowest marks. If you want to pursue BSc, then you might even get North Campus Colleges, if not in first round, then in others. If you are aiming for BA Hons, then the admission might be difficult but not impossible. You can wait for the second, third and spot round. You can get admission with BA Program easily in South campus or off campus. 

You have the option of securing direct admission in Haldia Institute of Technology. This can be accomplished through the management quota, which reserves some seats for this purpose. However, it's essential to be prepared to pay a substantial amount of money as admission through the management quota requires additional fees.

For the regular courses, the following are the fees and eligibility criteria:

- B.Tech: 1.18 Lakhs (1st Year Fees), 10+2 with 45% + WBJEE

- MBA: 1.24 Lakhs (1st Year Fees), Graduation with 50% + MAT

- M.C.A: 1.2 Lakhs (1st Year Fees), Graduation with 50% + WB JECA

- M.Tech: 1.08 Lakhs (1st Year Fees), Pass in Graduation + WBUT PGET

If your WBJEE rank is not as expected and you still wish to secure admission, you have the option of management quota admission or direct admission. However, it's important to note that in addition to the regular fees, there will be a donation or extra fees required for this type of admission.
