The Admission Process at IILM, Lodhi Road is simple. First Step is to meet the eligibility criteria: Completion of class XII with at least 55% marks under the Indian education system or any equivalent board in India or overseas, with English and Mathematics at the class X level. Candidates from abroad should have completed their A levels (under the British system)
Second Step: Filling in the application form through online/ offline mode. Third Step: Due to prevailing situation in the in the country appearing for a Simulation / case study test is not done, online interviews are taken. After which the decision of admission is made.

As you get revert to your query, do note that there is no such ranking available for Best/ top College-Institutes within India. However, National Institute of Design(NID) & Industrial Design Centre, IIT, Powai are most renowned in Animation segments. Institutes mentioned by you are also renowned for having some top performing centre's.
Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
Learning Software alone won't help you. First acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium. Digital Media and Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities.
While choosing any institute ensure that you are taught by Experienced & proficient Mentors. Also ensure adequate infrastructure, industry interface & validate placement track record of alumni's.

Go for FDI (Footwear design institute in Chennai). There are many other careers for the creative/ artistic people. Interiors as well as Web Design rely on the same skills - your layout skills and color sense. A little higher perches Graphic Design, Fashion Design and Fine Arts which rely on one of your artistic skills - sketching and imagination. At a similar level perches VFX as well as Motion Graphics which rely on one of your artistic skills - Cinematographic skills and imagination. Then come careers like Animation, Film Making, Game Design which rely on multiple talents like your authority over sketching, acting, direction, voice, sound, writing, storytelling and problem solving skills etc. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world and hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers.
