Both have some similarities, however, B.Sc. , Hons have different advantages and disadvantages to the general one. B.Sc. (Honors) in Agriculture is a 4 years undergraduate course, while B.Sc. , Agri is 3 years programme. The syllabus for B.Sc. , Hons is slightly different, and students should submit dissertation work at the end of the course completion, this degree is a superior degree. In terms of employment opportunities, a B.Sc. (Hons) degree is more productive and advantageous than a standard B.Sc. (general) degree. It vary from university to university. Generally 12th in any stream with minimum 45% marks. In many cases min. 50% or 60% is required. Business school like NMIMS require Maths. It is good to have studied commerce / humanities with economics in 12th. B.A. LL.B. Is also a good option after 12th which open a vast number of lucrative and demanding career avenues from judicary to corporate jobs. Best wishes.
