Yes, in many engineering colleges, there is an option to change the branch, and in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, this is followed according to the rules of the college. So if he scores the particular CGPA specified, then he would be switched to that particular branch without any issues.

Admission to DSCE is strictly based on a CET and COMEDK. Students appear for these standardized tests, and the ranks thus obtained form a basis for joining the college. Both the CET, conducted by the Karnataka Government, and the COMEDK have very crucial roles in the selection process based on merit and in the choice of students who would be admitted to the different courses offered at DSCE.

Candidate can directly apply to Madras University (Institute of distance Education) from the official website. Candidate have to provide requisites as mentioned there 10+2+3 or equivalent exam results from recognised institutes. Also candidate must have good score on entrance exams such as the TANCET, CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA.

Eligibility Criteria:

Selection Process:

1. Entrance Exams (Choose One):
• Karnataka CET (KEA-Karnataka Examination Authority)
• COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges, Undergraduate Entrance Test)
2. Based on your entrance exam score, a merit list will be prepared. Admissions will be offered through counseling sessions.

During the online application process, the candidate is asked to attach a printout of the application form, photocopy of the online fee receipt, marksheets of Class 10, 12, and graduation, caste certificate, income certificate (for reserve category candidates), migration certificate, transfer certificate, Aadhaar card, and two recent passport-size photographs. All such details are attached under Step 3.
