Moudipa in case you don't get a good rank in WBJEE you can try for direct admission on the bsis of your marks in 12th in any private university.
There are certain universities that offer admission on the basis of tests conducted by state technical boards of other states, so you can try for admission in some of those universities too.

Prachi first you see to it what are you interested in. If you are interested in B.Tech then you can go for some private university that conducts its own test for admission in B.Tech.
If B.Tech is not your calling then you can go for courses like BHM, BJMC, BBA, BCA, B.Design, etc. All these are also very good courses with scope of good career opportunities.

Afsha for a perfect job and a perfect career you need a perfect course. As a student of English better option for you would be to go for a masters course in Journalism and Mass comm. Fashion and Interior designing etc.

Shanaya the difference is going to be of fees as well as facilities. Most of the private colleges/ universities are newly constructed so for this reason have better infrastructure as compared to gov.t ones.
Other than this some of them also offer scholarships to students. Check the websites of some of the colleges to know the differences better.
