The average salary offered to the freshers of the batch of 2012-14 was 6.5 lakhs p.a. This average salary is considered by taking all the students of various specializations together.
But a fresher in the field of Marketing can expect an average salary of anything above 6 lakhs p.a.
The placement details of the batch of 2012-14 was as follows;

Highest Salary - Rs. 13.00 Lakhs p.a.

KIIT University, formerly Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, is a co-educational, autonomous university located at Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha. It was one of the youngest institutions to be awarded the deemed university status in India and then the university status in 2004 . So if you do not want to leave your state, you have this choice. CUSAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology is located at Cochin, Kerala and is a central university which conducts its own entrance examinations (CAT) with centres in many states in India. Placement statistics do not seem to be bad and certificates are held in high esteem in many industries.
